Now that we’ve got a pretty good idea of what the Galaxy Note 8 will look like and what specs it’ll have, most folks just want to know when they’ll be able to buy the thing. Now those details may have leaked out, too.
Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Note 8 in South Korea on September 15th, according to a carrier representative speaking to ETNews. No pricing details for the device were given because they’re apparently not set quite yet.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 announcement is likely happening on August 23rd, so a launch a few weeks later would make sense. With last year’s Galaxy Note 7, Samsung announced the device on August 2nd and launched it in the U.S. a little more than two weeks later, so the company has a history with fairly quick launches.
While today’s report only mentions Samsung’s South Korean launch plans, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Note 8 was released in other major markets around the same time. Pushing out a phone quickly after its announcement can be good for sales since the device is still fresh in peoples’ minds and consumers are still excited for it.
