Back in April when the Galaxy S8 hit store shelves, Google announced that it worked with Samsung to make Google Play Music the default music player and music service on all new Samsung phones. Galaxy device owners also get double the number of song uploads and three months of music streaming, and now S8 owners are getting yet another Play Music perk.
Google is giving Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners access to an exclusive Play Music station called New Release Radio. The station plays brand new music that’s been personalized to your tastes and listening history, and it promises new recommendations every day.
If that sounds like something you’d like to check out but you don’t have a Galaxy S8, don’t fret. Shortly after word about this GS8-exclusive station began to spread, it was discovered that non-GS8 folks can access it, too.
This New Release Radio playlist is a nice little offering for Galaxy S8 owners (or anyone else that feels like using it, I suppose) that just want to hit play and have new music played for them. If you’ve got a Galaxy S8 or S8+ and haven’t tried it yet, load up Google Play Music on your phone and give it a go.
