Heads up, Pokémon Go players, because another event is happening this weekend.
Pokémon Go developer Niantic has announced that Grass-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild this weekend. The event will kick off the afternoon of May 5 and will run through May 8.
During this time, you’ll see more Grass-type Pokémon than usual. That could include monsters like Bulbasaur, Tangela, Chikorita, and others.
While it doesn’t look like there will be any double XP, double Candy, or similar multipliers this weekend, this is still a nice little event for Pokémon Go players. Some Grass-type monsters can be pretty rare, like Bulbasaur and Chikorita, so this weekend will be a good opportunity to catch them and save up Candy to evolve them, too.
