Days after images that claimed to show the Moto Z2 leaked out, a new leak claims to show off that device’s sibling.
Images and video that reportedly show the Moto Z2 Force have made their way online. The renders come from @OnLeaks and Android Authority and are based on factory CADs.
This Moto Z2 Force resembles the Moto Z2 that leaked out last week, packing a dual rear camera setup, connector pins for Moto Mods, a front-facing camera flash, and a pill-shaped fingerprint reader. Also notable is the fact that this alleged Moto Z2 Force includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, something that was missing from the original model.
Finally, today’s report says that the Moto Z2 Force is a bit larger than last year’s Moto Z Force, measuring in at 156.32 x 76.36mm compared to the Moto Z Force at 155.9 x 75.8mm. However, the Z2 Force is reportedly thinner than its predecessor, coming in at 5.99mm thick while the Z Force is 7mm thick.
While the Moto Z2 Force may not look all that different from the original, Motorola does seem to be making some solid improvements to the device. The pill-shaped fingerprint reader should give more room your finger compared to the square one on the Z Force, and I’m sure lots of folks will be pleased to that a 3.5mm headphone jack is making the cut this time around. One concern could be that a smaller Z2 Force could mean a smaller battery, too, but we’ll have to wait until Motorola announces the phone before we know if that’s the case.
