Honor is expanding its family of Android phones with the launch of the Honor 8 Pro.
The Honor 8 Pro is a flagship smartphone from Huawei’s Honor sub-brand. It’s running EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 and it’s packing a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and dual 12-megapixel rear cameras, one with an RGB lens and the other monochrome.
Honor is also touting the speed of its device, which is packing an octa-core Kirin 960 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. There’s 64GB of built-in storage in there, too, along with a microSD card slot that doubles as a second SIM card slot.
Rounding out the features of the Honor 8 Pro is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens, rear fingerprint reader, and a 4000mAh battery with USB Type-C and fast charging support.
The Honor 8 Pro is priced at £474.99/€549.00 and is available for pre-order beginning today, April 5, in select European countries.
Honor’s new flagship looks like a solid device, offering several high-end features and a large battery to power them all. The Honor 8 Pro’s price isn’t too shabby, either, coming in at €100 less than the Huawei P10 and €250 less than the higher-end Huawei P10 Plus.
There’s no word on whether or not the Honor 8 Plus will be making its way to the US, but Honor has been making a push to become more well-known in the US, so it’s certainly a possibility. Stay tuned.
