Previous rumors have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will launch on April 21, but now it looks like we may have to wait a bit longer to get our hands on the new device.
Samsung now plans to release the Galaxy S8 on April 28, according to a source speaking to VentureBeat. No reason for the change has been given.
This news may come as a bit of a disappointment to folks that are itching to get their hands on the Galaxy S8. Samsung likely wants to be very sure that the Galaxy S8 won’t be a repeat of the Galaxy Note 7, though, and so the company may be taking some extra time to ensure that there won’t be any overheating issues with its new phone. That’s not a bad idea, because safety is important, and what’s one more week when we’ve already waited this long?
To help pass the time until April 28, you can check out one of the many Galaxy S8 leaks that’ve surfaced recently. And stay tuned, because more will surely happen between now and the end of April.
