We’ve seen quite a few details about Google and LG’s Watch Sport and Watch Style leak out lately, but the pricing of the two watches had remained a mystery. Until today, that is.
The LG Watch Sport will launch with a price of $349, says a source speaking to Android Police. The smaller and less feature-packed LG Watch Style is expected to cost $249.
As a reminder, the LG Watch Sport is rumored to include a 1.38-inch 480x480 display, 768MB of RAM, a 430mAh battery, LTE connectivity, GPS, and NFC for Android Pay, all wrapped in a body that’s IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. Meanwhile, the LG Watch Style will reportedly have a 1.2-inch 360x360 screen, 512MB of RAM, a 240mAh battery, and an IP67-rated body.
These rumored prices seem pretty reasonable for Google and LG’s Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches. To compare, the Moto 360 (2nd Gen.) started at $299 when it launched, the Huawei Watch was $349.99, and the LTE-equipped LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition was $359.99. With Google’s watches, you’re getting a choice between the smaller and more affordable LG Watch Style and the higher-end LG Watch Sport, and they’ll both be the first Android Wear smartwatches made in collaboration with Google.
So now that we’ve got possible pricing for the LG Watch Sport and Style, what do you think? Are you interested in them?
