The Huawei Watch has become one of the more popular Android Wear smartwatches, and today some details on its successor have leaked.
According to VentureBeat, the Huawei Watch 2 will include a round 1.4-inch, which is the same size as the original Huawei Watch. The new model will allegedly have a “sportier” look than its predecessor, though.
Also said to be included with the Huawei Watch 2 is cellular connectivity. One model of the Watch 2 will reportedly include a built-in SIM card that’ll let you use data and conduct phone calls when you’re away from your paired smartphone.
Huawei is said to be aiming to show off the Watch 2 at MWC, which takes place at the end of February, but that those plans are not yet set in stone.
The original Huawei Watch was a good-looking device with solid features, and so a lot of people are looking forward to the next model. While most of the Huawei Watch 2’s specs are still missing, the news that there will be a model with cellular connectivity is great to hear.
With the launch of Android Wear 2.0, LG and Google’s upcoming watches, and this Huawei Watch 2, the next couple of months should be pretty awesome for Android Wear fans.
