As expected, Samsung is prepping a new color for the Galaxy S7 edge.
The Black Pearl Galaxy S7 edge is now official. Samsung confirmed the device tonight, saying that it’ll launch in “select markets” on December 9. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on exactly which markets those are.
The Black Pearl Galaxy S7 edge is actually the second black GS7 edge model to come to market. What makes the Black Pearl model different from the Black Onyx one is that the Black Pearl GS7 edge is completely black, even the outer metal edge, which Samsung says gives the device a “modern and striking” look.
One other notable detail about the Black Pearl Galaxy S7 edge is that it comes with 128GB of built-in storage. Other versions of the Galaxy S7 edge included either 32GB or 64GB of built-in storage.
All-black designs like the one found on this Black Pearl GS7 edge are popular right now. For example, Apple introduced glossy Jet Black versions of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and those models quickly sold out at launch and were backordered for quite a while. Now Samsung has its own blacked-out flagship, and while the GS7 edge isn’t the newest phone around, I’m betting that there will still be some folks out there that jump at the Black Pearl Galaxy S7 edge when it launches.
