We’ve seen a lot of Android device makers spill their Nougat update plans in recent months, and now it’s Huawei’s turn to fill us in.
Huawei today named several devices that’ll be updated to EMUI 5.0, the company’s custom user interface that’s based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Those phones are:
The updates are slated to begin rolling out in the first quarter of 2017, so it won’t be long before more Huawei devices get their helping of Nougat.
Most of the devices that Huawei plans on updated to EMUI 5.0 and Android 7.0 don’t come as a surprise. For example, the Huawei P9 is one of the company’s current flagship phones, and the Nova and Nova Plus just debuted a few months ago. That said, it’s still good to get confirmation that these updates will happen and that they’re starting soon.
