A little more than one year after launching Samsung Pay, Samsung has announced a new rewards program to go with its mobile payment service.
Samsung Rewards is launching this week. The program will reward Samsung Pay users for paying with the service, giving them gifts cards, Samsung products, and more.
When you’re enrolled in Samsung Rewards, you’ll receive points for every transaction you conduct with Samsung Pay. You’ll also get a point multiplier at the end of each month after a certain number of transactions: Five transactions in one month will get you Silver status and double points for every transaction, 20 transactions will get you Gold status and triple points, and 30 transactions will get you Platinum status and quadruple points.
You’ll be able to redeem these points for gift cards to popular retailers, prepaid Samsung Rewards Visa gift cards, Samsung products, and other goodies.
The Samsung Pay app, and eventually Samsung’s website, will offer a way for you to track your Samsung Rewards points.
Finally, Samsung Rewards will offer Instant Win prizes for active users, like a trip for two to Napa Valley.
Ever since the launch of Samsung Pay, Samsung has been offering incentives to get consumers to use the service. Those have included free gift cards and free accessories. Now the Samsung Rewards program will let all users get rewarded for using the service, which is a smart move for Samsung.
Have you tried Samsung Pay? If so, how often do you use it?
