LeEco is a major Chinese device maker, and now it’s looking to make a splash in the US market. To help kickstart its efforts, the company is holding a flash sale of some of its products today.
Both the LeEco Le Pro3 (shown above) and Le S3 (shown below) will be available today at 10:00 am PT/1:00 pm ET. During this flash sale, both phones will be available for $100 off their regular prices for LeRewards members, meaning that the Le Pro3 will be $299 and the Le S3 will cost $149.
To get those prices, you’ll need to sign up for a LeRewards account, which you can thankfully do ahead of the flash sale.
In addition to getting a phone, Le Pro3 and Le S3 buyers will receive free shipping and three months of EcoPass. Being a member of EcoPass gets you several perks, including unlimited cloud storage for photos and videos, 5GB of cloud storage for other files, a two-year warranty, entertainment credits, and special privileges for LeMall like discounts and early access to new products.
The LeEco Le Pro3 features a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front cameras, a Snapdragon 821 processor, and 4GB of RAM. There’s also 64GB of built-in storage and a 4,070mAh battery that can be charged using Quick Charge 3.0. One other Le Pro3 detail that’s worth noting is that there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack, meaning that you’ll use the phone’s USB Type-C port for listening to your tunes.
The Le S3 shares some specs with the Le Pro3, including its 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, 16-megapixel rear camera, and 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Some of its other specs have been stepped down, though, like its Snapdragon 652 processor, 32GB of storage, 3GB of RAM, and 3,000mAh battery. The Le S3 also lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, just like the Le Pro3.
With the LePro3 and Le S3, LeEco is going after the “affordable flagship” market that’s also occupied by devices like the OnePlus 3, Honor 8, and others. We’ll have to wait to make any final judgments on LeEco’s phones until we can spend more time with them, but on paper, they look like solid competitors in the affordable flagship market. That’s especially true when you factor in the $100 discounts that the phones are getting as part of today’s flash sale.
One thing to keep in mind that LeEco hasn’t said how many phones it’ll have as part of today’s flash sale. It’s likely not many, though, and so considering that and the cheap prices that the Le Pro3 and Le S3 will have, it’d probably be wise to try and hit the LeMall store right at 10:00am PT/1:00 pm ET.
