Yesterday Apple released the first beta of iOS 10.2 to registered developers, and now public testers can get a taste of the early software, too.
iOS 10.2 beta 1 is now available to members of the Apple Beta Software Program. If that’s you, you can grab the device that you’ve got enrolled in the program and go into Settings > General > Software Update to grab iOS 10.2 beta 1.
The update to iOS 10.2 brings with it some notable new features. Perhaps the biggest addition is updated emoji, including new characters like a fox face and avocado, as well as new versions of existing emoji. Other new features include new wallpapers, a Video app widget, and an option for saving your last known camera settings.
Apple hasn’t announced when iOS 10.2 will be released to the public, but if it’s anything like previous releases, iOS 10.2 will go through a few beta updates before being unleashed to the public.
