After gaining support for services like 99Taxis and Hailo back in March, Google Maps is once again adding new services to its dedicated ride-sharing tab.
Google announced today that the ride-sharing tab in Google Maps now supports Lyft and Gett in the U.S. Lyft will begin appearing for Google Maps users across the U.S., while Gett will start appearing for folks in New York City.
With these additions, the ride-sharing tab supports nine services in more than 60 countries.
The ride-sharing tab in Google Maps is meant to help you quickly compare service like Uber, Lyft, Gett, and more, showing you how far away the ride is and approximately how much you can expect to pay for a ride. This saves you time since you don’t have to open up each service’s app and compare their fares and times.
