Select Galaxy Note 7 colors expected to be scarce at launch due to high demand

Tomorrow’s the day that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 officially hits stores, but according to a new report, two of the new Android flagship’s colors may be difficult to come by initially.

Samsung underestimated demand for the Blue Coral and Silver Titanium versions of the Galaxy Note 7, and so customers in the U.S. and Canada who ordered those models may have to wait up to three weeks for their unit. That’s according to sources speaking to Android Central, who added that Samsung was “shocked” at the demand for the Blue Coral model.

No U.S. or Canadian carriers have commented on this report. Samsung Canada did say that they’ve “experienced an unprecedented number of pre-orders.” “Over the coming weeks, we’ll work with our valued carrier and retail partners to provide wide-reaching national retail availability,” they added.

The Galaxy Note 7 is a major release for Samsung, and so they’re likely pretty pleased to see such strong pre-orders for the device. They just didn’t expect that the Blue Coral model would take off like it did, though considering how awesome the blue Note 7 looks, I can’t say that I’m surprised. Here’s to hoping that those folks that agree with me and pre-ordered the Blue Coral Note 7 don’t have to wait terribly long for their shiny, good-looking new phone.
