When Kyocera announced the DuraForce PRO last week, they said that the rugged phone would be launching this fall but didn’t say which carriers would offer it. Now that mystery has been solved.
AT&T said today that it will carry the Kyocera DuraForce PRO. Unfortunately, AT&T were just about as quiet as Kyocera when it comes to announcing the DuraForce PRO’s availability, saying only that they’ll reveal the phone’s launch and price “at a later date.”
The DuraForce PRO’s spec list includes a 5-inch 1920x1080 display, dual front speakers, and an octa-core Snapdragon processor. Also packed inside this rugged Android phone is 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, and a removable 3,240mAh battery.
The rugged body of the DuraForce PRO is dust and water-resistant and meets Military Standard 810G, which means that it can withstand extreme temperatures, shock, vibration, and more. Kyocera went a step further to make the DuraForce PRO a good adventure buddy by including a Super Wide View Camera so that the phone can double as an action camera.
