AT&T today announced a major new feature coming to its prepaid GoPhone service.
Starting August 19, AT&T GoPhone will offer a multi-line discount. The rate plans that are eligible for this multi-line discount are the $45/3GB per month plan and the $60/6GB rate plan.
To get your discount, simply add another line to your account and you’ll get a discount every month. The discounts start at $5 off per month for your second line, then go up to $10 off per month for three lines, $15 off per month for four lines, and $20 off per month for five lines. Consumers can have up to five lines per account.
AT&T also says that through September 22, customers can get one AT&T GoPhone free when they buy one and activate a new line of service. Both phones must be on the $45 or $60 per month plan.
This multi-line discount is a nice addition to AT&T’s GoPhone. The service has gained a few notable new features lately, like Rollover Data and support for usage in and between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada on the $60 plan. Soon GoPhone will offer multi-line discounts, too, making it an interesting option for families.
