As August 2 nears, information about the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone has started to emerge. But since it's only days away from the launch, the South Korean company couldn't help but send out a few leaks earlier today. The first leak they shared was an official teaser hinting that the next Galaxy Note 7 smartphone will come with waterproofing, fingerprint technology, an improved selfie camera, and much more. The teaser doesn't share anything too specific about the Galaxy Note 7 except for these hints.
The teaser video starts off with a fingerprint on the screen of the camera. This frame then moves to signify that the user has unlocked his device through different lock screens. On the next scene, a woman can be seen taking a selfie in low light with the front-facing camera on the phone. The screen then moves to a cryptic road sign, to some book highlighters, then finally an old telephone is dropped onto what appears to be a lake. While the hints are up for one's interpretation, it's pretty clear that the phone will be waterproof since it is evident in the last scene. Perhaps the highlighters indicate that the S Pen stylus and its features will be available.
Following these hints, the numbers 0-5 light up before a final question mark does; perhaps asking what the next device will be called. The last clip is the word "No" written on a piece of paper before it is further filled up with the letters "T" and "E".
While there hasn't been any official word on the specs of the Galaxy Note 7, there won't have to be too long to wait. Samsung is preparing for its latest Unpacked event set for August 2nd, where they are said to unveil the Galaxy Note 7. The event is scheduled to take place in New York City at 11 AM.
