Most of the Galaxy Note 7 leaks that we’ve seen to date have focused on the new flagship’s hardware, but now one has surface that’s all about software.
A video that claims to show a refreshed version of Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface for the Galaxy Note 7 has been posted by Italian site HDblog.it. The video is a lengthy one, clocking in at just over 15 minutes long, and it shows off several different aspects of the UI. That includes the widget picker, Samsung Themes, app folders and the app drawer, the notification shade, and the Settings app.
The video shows that Samsung may be making some notable tweaks to its UI. Those include toggles in the notification shade that have have arrow buttons that you can press to expand a specific toggle and show more info and a Settings app makeover that ditches scrollable tabs for one big list.
It’s worth noting that this UI is very much unofficial, and if it is indeed legit, it could undergo some changes before it launches to the public. What we’re shown in this video doesn’t look too shabby, showing a UI that gets further away from the old TouchWiz UI that some felt was cartoony. If this leaked UI becomes reality later this year, it’ll make the Note 7 an even more notable upgrade than it’s already expected to be.
What do you think of this refreshed TouchWiz UI?
