Google Calendar will help you find free time when you're scheduling an event

Remember that Google Calendar feature that debuted in April and promised to help you find a time for your meeting that worked with everyone’s schedules? That feature was meant for Google Apps for Work and Edu users, but now it appears that Google is rolling out a personal version of the feature.

Google Calendar’s new feature will show you times that you’re available to create an event. As you can see in the image above, you can specify which day you want your event to happen, and Google Calendar will show you the times when you’ve got something scheduled and the times that you’re available.

This feature should be rolling out to Google Calendar users in the coming days, so if you haven’t yet gotten it, keep an eye out.

This ought to be a pretty nifty feature for Google Calendar users. While it can’t show you the calendars of anyone that you’re inviting to your event like the Google Apps for Work and Edu app can, this new feature can help remind you of existing events that you might’ve forgotten about, ensuring that you don’t accidentally double-book yourself.
