When T-Mobile Tuesdays was announced earlier this month, it guaranteed T-Mo customers three things every week: a free Domino’s pizza, a free Wendy’s Frosty, and a free VUDU movie rental. Next week, though, T-Mobile customers will only be getting two of those things.
T-Mobile CEO John Legere has revealed that next Tuesday, June 21, T-Mobile Tuesdays will be swapping Domino’s for Lyft. That means that instead of a free medium pizza, T-Mobile customers will get a $15 credit for a Lyft ride.
Legere explained the move by saying that “T-Mobile customers slammed Domino’s stores” and that those shops saw three to four times their normal demand. The CEO then shared what appears to be an internal Domino’s email explaining that taking this week’s T-Mobile Tuesday events and employee feedback into account, Domino’s will be cancelling its T-Mobile Tuesdays promotion indefinitely.

So now that Domino’s has been swapped for Lyft, June 21 will bring T-Mobile customers a free small Wendy’s Frosty, $15 Lyft credit, VUDU movie rental, and $20 coupon for MLB.com.
The news that Domino’s won’t be part of T-Mobile Tuesdays next week is kind of a bummer, as the free pizza was good for a meal or two for T-Mo customers. That said, at least T-Mobile is swapping in another offer rather than just cutting one of the gifts from next week’s T-Mobile Tuesday. What will be interesting is seeing if Domino’s ever takes part in T-Mobile Tuesdays again or if T-Mo has to make a more permanent swap.
Did you get a free Domino’s pizza through the T-Mobile Tuesdays promotion?
