Last week, the Nextbit Robin started receiving an update that included its June security patches and some other goodies. Now Nextbit has some more software news to share.
Nextbit today announced the Nextbit Beta Tester Program, which will let Robin owners try out new features before they’re pushed to the public. Nextbit says that beta testers will have the chance to take part in studies that’ll give them direct access to the Nextbit team.
As Nextbit notes, this Beta Tester Program isn’t meant for folks that just want software updates faster. Beta software typically isn’t quite as solid as software that’s pushed to the public, which is why Nextbit wants Robin owners to beta test its updates. Members of the Beta Tester Program will get software early to try out the new features and help Nextbit better squash any bugs that may pop up before it pushes updates out to the general public.
If you’d like to apply to the Nextbit Beta Tester Program, go right here. And if you don’t yet have a Robin, Amazon is still selling Nextbit’s phone for $299, which is $100 off its normal asking price.
