We’re now just a couple of hours away from the unveiling of the OnePlus 3, but it looks like Amazon may have spoiled OnePlus’s big announcement.
Amazon India today posted a product page for the OnePlus 3 before its official reveal. The page has since been pulled, but not before revealing all of the specs of OnePlus’s new flagship.
According to Amazon, the OnePlus 3 will include a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display; 16-megapixel camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, optical image stabilization and phase detection autofocus; 8-megapixel front camera; 6GB of RAM; 64GB of storage; quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor; NFC; and Android 6.0.1 beneath OnePlus’s custom OxygenOS user interface. The whole package will reportedly be powered by a 3000mAh battery that you juice up using the USB 2.0 Type-C port. OnePlus has also included Dash Charge fast charging.
The OnePlus 3 was listed at a price of 27,999 Indian Rupees, or around $416 USD. OnePlus has previously confirmed that the OP3 will launch today, June 14, and that you won’t need an invitation to buy one.
Because the OnePlus 3 won’t be officially revealed for another couple of hours, all of this information is very much unconfirmed. That said, these specs are pretty much what you’d expected from an Android flagship in 2016, and so it won’t be too shocking if they’re the real deal. Based on what we’ve seen of it so far, the OnePlus 3 looks like a solid entry into the affordable flagship smartphone category, and we’re looking forward to seeing how it feels and performs.
