T-Mobile launching Tourist Plan for international visitors to the US

Usually when T-Mobile announces a new plan, it’s intended for US wireless customers. That’s not the case with T-Mo’s newest plan, though, which isn’t available to those of us in the US of A.

The new T-Mobile Tourist Plan is launching on June 12, and it’s meant to be a super-easy plan for folks visiting the US. The $30 plan includes 1000 minutes of calling within the US, unlimited texting to the US and more than 140 other countries and destinations, and unlimited data with 2GB of high-speed data.

To sign up for the Tourist Plan, visitors to the US must go to a T-Mobile store or one of the select T-Mo prepaid dealers that’ll be offering the plan. Once they sign up, they won’t have to pay an activation fee or pony up for a SIM card.

The T-Mobile Tourist Plan is valid for three weeks and will expire after that period. It also includes Wi-Fi hotspot support using the included data as well as 200MB of data roaming. What it doesn’t include are Un-carrier benefits like Binge On and Music Freedom.
