Moto G4 and Moto G Plus specs reportedly leak

After appearing in several image leaks, a new rumor may have finally spilled some of the spec details of Motorola’s upcoming Moto G4.

According to documents posted by Twitter user Roland Quandt, there will be two versions of Motorola’s new Moto G: a standard Moto G and a Moto G4 Plus. The standard Moto G is tipped to include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, and a 5-megapixel front camera. We’re also told to expect an octa-core Snapdragon 430, 1920x1080 display, and a 3000mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the Moto G Plus is expected to offer a few step-up features over the standard Moto G. For example, the G Plus is rumored to include a 16-megapixel rear camera, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.

While unconfirmed, these leaked spec lists seem like they’d fit with a new Moto G device in 2016. Moto G phones are typically mid-range phones, and a device with 2GB of RAM, Snapdragon 430, and 16GB of storage would slot into the mid-range in 2016. What will be interesting is, if Motorola is prepping two different Moto G models for 2016, what the price difference between the two will be.

Motorola's new Moto G hardware is expected to debut at an event in India — where these phones will reportedly be made — on May 17.
