Microsoft today announced that it’s pushing Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 14322 to Fast ring users, and the update is a biggie.
First up in the long list of changes in Build 14322 are improvements to Action Center and Notifications. For Action Center, individual app notifications won’t show the app’s icon for each notification, and instead will group together all notifications for that app. You can also add, remove, and rearrange the Quick Actions in Action Center by going into Settings > System > Notifications & actions. There are new insights from Cortana in Action Center, too, letting her alert you to things like meeting conflicts.
Meanwhile, notifications are getting visual changes of their own that add more flexible layouts akin to Live Tiles. Notifications with images will appear larger, and notifications can have a “hero image” for content that’s even larger. Finally, you can manage notification prioritization by assigning an app’s notifications to Normal, High, or Top priority.
The other new features included with Build 14322 include:
- Cortana
- Settings
- Updated Emoji
- Microsoft Edge
- USB Ethernet Support in Continuum
- Improved Lock Screen
- FeedBack Hub
- Messaging Everywhere
There are also a ton of bug fixes and some known issues, all of which you can check out here.
Because this Build 14322 is in the Fast ring, only the bravest testers will get to play with all of these Windows 10 Mobile features right now. This update is exciting for all of the Windows 10 Mobile users out there, because it shows that Microsoft is still working hard on W10M and adding new features to make using the OS a better experience. Here’s to hoping that Build 14322 makes it through testing without any big issues so that it can roll out to the public quickly.
