Google Photos already does some automatic photo creations, like making short GIFs using your images, thanks to its Assistant feature. Now Google Photos is getting even automatic photo tools that are even better.
After you take a trip, Google Photos will automatically collect what it thinks are your best photos and videos and cobble together an album of your trip. The album will also include maps and location pins so that you know just how far you traveled and where you went on your trip. Once your automatic album is made, you can personalize it by adding your own captions and turn on collaboration to let others add more photos.
Google says that this new album experience is rolling out to Android, iOS, and the web today. As I said before, Google Photos already offered some simple automatic photo album and GIF creation before, but these new tools look even more powerful and capable of making albums that look better. If you’re a Google Photos user, be sure to try it out the next time that you take a trip somewhere.
