The rumor mill has suggested that the LG G5 could make its official debut next month, but that’s not the only flagship smartphone that the Life’s Good crew has planned for 2016.
LG today announced its Q4 2015 financials, boasting an operating profit of $301.38 million and 15.3 million smartphones shipped. LG also looked ahead to 2016, saying that it expects the year to be “increasingly competitive” due to price competition and premium models from its competition. LG has its own premium models coming, though, with the company teasing that it plans to launch “two new flagship models” in 2016.
Unsurprisingly, LG hasn’t spilled any details on the two flagship phones that it’s got coming later this year, but we can speculate on what the models might be. It’s likely that the first will be the LG G5, which is rumored to be a Snapdragon 820-equipped Android device with a detachable bottom piece that’ll hide its removable battery. As for the second flagship, a successor to the LG V10 seems like a strong possibility.
