Most folks dread Wednesday because it means that they’ve still got to get over the middle of the week hump before they get close to the weekend. Today AT&T shared some news that should make this Wednesday a bit better for prepaid GoPhone customers, though.
AT&T says that starting January 8, GoPhone customers on the $60 per month plan will get 5GB of high-speed data every month, up from the 4GB allotment that they’re currently getting. Meanwhile, customers on the $45 plan will see their high-speed data allotment bumped from 1.5GB to 2GB.
AT&T notes that both plans include roaming in Canada and Mexico as well as Rollover Data, which will carry your unused data from one month into the next. And if you sign up for Auto Refill, AT&T will knock $5 off your monthly bill.
One year ago, GoPhone customers only had 2.5GB or 1GB of high-speed data each month — they were bumped to 4GB and 1.5GB in February 2015 — so getting double the high-speed data one year later is pretty great. With this news, I’m sure that AT&T GoPhone customers are now looking forward to this Friday more than they already were.
