After launching in Fossil stores last month, the watch maker’s first Android Wear smartwatch has officially arrived in Google’s online store.
The Google Store is now selling the Fossil Q Founder for $295, the same price that Fossil has been asking since November. For that price, you’ll get an Android Wear smartwatch with a round 1.5-inch 360x326 LCD screen, Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, 400mAh battery, a stainless steel case, and a matching stainless steel band.
Google’s Q Founder product page also shows a version with a leather band instead of stainless steel. That model costs $275, but it’s not yet available for purchase. Google’s listing says that it’s “coming soon.”
While the Q Founder has been available from Fossil for a few weeks now, its arrival in the Google Store is good news because it’s another way for folks to see and possibly buy the device. I’m sure that there are some folks that’d prefer to buy from Google over Fossil, and now they’ve got that option when it comes to the Q Founder. The Q Founder’s Google Store availability also makes it easier to compare the device against the other Android Wear devices.
