When Huawei began taking pre-orders for the Huawei Watch back in September, the company said that its top-end rose gold models would be available at a later date. That later date is today, because the rose gold Huawei Watch models are now available.
You can now buy the rose gold Huawei Watch from Huawei’s official online shop. There are actually two rose gold models, one that comes with a leather strap and one that includes a matching rose gold stainless steel link band, but only the leather-equipped model is available for purchase as of this writing. That model costs $699, and when the version with a stainless steel band becomes available, it’ll cost $799.
The rose gold Huawei Watch is actually made of stainless steel, but it its plated with 22k rose gold. This model is the same as the other Huawei Watch models in terms of specs, boasting a round 1.4-inch 400x400 AMOLED display, Snapdragon 400 processor, 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, and a 300mAh battery, all packed into a body that measures 11.3mm thick.
Huawei’s first Android Wear effort, and it’s a pretty solid first try. Our own Marco Hanna really liked it, saying that it’s one of the prettiest Android Wear smartwatches available. That could help make it a good option for folks that usually wear nice analog watches but want to give a smartwatch a try. The Huawei Watch isn’t one of the cheapest Android Wear smartwatches, but if you’ve got some spare cash, it could be worth a look.
Do you have the Huawei Watch on your wrist? If so, what do you think of it?
