Today’s the day that the HTC One A9’s price officially increased by $100. Turns out that that’s not the only bad One A9 news that’s come out today, though.
HTC is sending emails to consumers that’ve pre-ordered the One A9, telling them that the first orders will now start shipping on November 10. Orders were originally slated to start shipping in the first week of November. To make up for the delay, HTC is offering customers 25 percent off accessories.
HTC has also shared more info on when the different colors will start going out:
Finally, HTC has pushed back its rollout of Verizon network compatibility for the One A9. Verizon support was originally expected to be added in November, then it was pushed to December, and now HTC is telling pre-order customers that the support “won’t be available in December.” There’s no expected release date now, with HTC only saying that it’s “working with Verizon to make it available as soon as possible.”
The news of the One A9’s slight shipping delay is a bummer, and what’s worse is that a screenshot of the One A9’s pre-order page from the day it went up shows that HTC may not have done a great job of communicating how the Gold and Red versions wouldn’t ship until late November or early December. And while the delay of Verizon support probably isn’t something that HTC can really help, it certainly isn’t helping things right now.
