Motorola’s Moto X Pure Edition may be the new hotness on the Moto block, but today you can score a solid deal on last year’s model thanks to Amazon.
Amazon is offering the 16GB Moto X (2nd Gen.) for just $199.99 unlocked. This is the GSM model, which includes support for HSPA 850/900/1700(AWS)/1900/2100MHz and LTE bands 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 17. That means that it’ll work on AT&T and T-Mobile, though you won’t get access to the Extended Range LTE service that T-Mo has been pushing lately. It's also worth noting that this is a daily deal, so it's only good today, November 2.
There are three models of the Moto X (2nd Gen.) available as part of Amazon’s deal. There’s a black phone with black leather, a black phone with black soft touch plastic, and a white phone with a bamboo back.
As I mentioned before, the Moto X (2nd Gen.) is no longer Motorola’s flagship Android phone, but it’s still a nice phone for most folks. It’s got a Snapdragon 801 chip — like the new OnePlus X — a 5.2-inch AMOLED display that could be good for folks that like smaller screens, and a 13-megapixel camera. Plus, you can get a unit with a leather or bamboo back, which normally command a premium when you buy from Motorola.
