Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 coming to Cricket for $149.99

The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 has gotten a lot of praise this year for offering a lot of phone for $250 unlocked and contract-free. And soon, Cricket customers will be able to get one for even less.

The 5.5-inch Idol 3 will be available from Cricket in stores and online starting November 6. Pricing will be set at $149.99 with activation, a full $100 off the price that Alcatel OneTouch is currently asking for the Idol 3 in its online shop.

As a refresher, the Idol 3 features a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and a pair of JBL front-facing speakers. Around back is a 13-megapixel camera on its rear, and inside of the Idol 3’s body is a Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage (10GB available to the user), a microSD slot, 4G LTE, NFC, Android Lollipop, and a 2910mAh battery. One other notable detail of the Idol 3 is that its fully reversible, meaning that you can use it upside down and the UI will adapt.

The Idol 3 is a solid phone for the $250 that Alcatel OneTouch is asking for it, so at $150, it’s a pretty awesome deal. It’s worth noting that you’ll need to activate the device on a Cricket line, but if you’re in the market for some new prepaid service, the Idol 3 on Cricket is worth a look.

Cricket also notes that customers on its $50 Smart and $60 Pro plans can now use their rate plan data in Mexico and Canada at no extra charge.
