When Apple Music first made its debut, Apple said that it would make its service available to Android users in the fall. Well we’re now in the fall and there’s still no Apple Music app for Android to be found, but some leaked images are here to give us an early look at the app while we wait.
This alleged Apple Music for Android app looks fairly similar to the version that’s been on iOS for months now, with one notable difference. While the iOS version of Apple Music has 5 buttons along its bottom for navigation between the For You, New, Radio, Connect, and My Music sections, the Android app stores all of those shortcuts in a menu that slides out from the left side of the screen. You can check out a couple of screenshots showing the iOS version at the bottom of this post.
So yeah, there’s nothing terribly surprising about this Android version of Apple Music. It looks pretty much like an Android version of the Apple that iOS folk have been using for a while now, and the slide-out navigation menu helps the app fit in with the design of other Android apps.
As I mentioned before, Apple previously said that Apple Music would launch on Android in the fall. There’s currently a free 3-month trial of Apple Music available, too, so this app may be worth a try once it finally launches to the public.
