After launching its first Tizen smartphone at the start of 2015, Samsung is winding down the year with a second Tizen-powered handset.

The Samsung Z3 is the second Tizen smartphone from the company. The Z3 runs Samsung’s Tizen OS on a 5-inch 1280x720 Super AMOLED display, and it offers an 8-megapixel rear camera as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter that includes a Wide Selfie mode. Powering the Z3 is a combination of a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, and for storage, the Z3 offers 8GB built-in as well as a microSD slot. Rounding out the Z3’s spec list is GSM and WCDMA (900/2100MHz) connectivity and a 2600mAh battery.

Samsung has thrown a couple of special software features into the Z3 as well. There’s My Galaxy, which offers quick access to nearby deals and entertainment, as well as Ultra Power Saving Mode to extend your battery life when you’re running low on juice. There’s also an Ultra Data Saving Mode, which will manage and compress your data usage and reduce usage by up to 40 percent.

The Samsung Z3 will launch in India in October at a price of INR 8490 ($131 USD). While the Z3 isn’t exactly a high-end phone, it’s considerably beefier than the Samsung Z1, which uses a 4-inch 800x840 display and 3.1-megapixel rear and VGA front cameras. Of course, the Z3 also runs Tizen, which doesn’t have quite as diverse an app store as Android. If you’re looking for an affordable smartphone, though, the Z3 may be worth a consideration.
