Just a couple of days after the Huawei Nexus 6P’s spec list leaked, the same thing has happened with the LG Nexus 5X.
What appears to be some product page info regarding the LG Nexus 5X has leaked out on imgur. Included is the 5X’s full spec list as well as product page bullets touting the phone’s size, camera, fingerprint sensor, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow software.
According to the leaked documents, the Nexus 5X will sport a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 LCD screen covered with Gorilla Glass 3 as well as a 5-megapixel camera on its face. Around back lives a 12.3-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture, dual flash, 4K video capture, and IR laser-assisted autofocus.
Packed inside the 5X’s body will allegedly be a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB LPDDR3 RAM, 16GB or 32GB of storage, a USB Type-C connector, and Android 6.0. All of those specs are in a body that is said to measure 147.0mm x 72.6mm x 7.9mm. To compare, the Nexus 5 measures 137.84mm x 69.17mm x 8.59mm.
It’s rumored that the Nexus 5X will start at $379. At that price, the 5X seems like a respectable option for folks that want a smaller phone or an affordable Nexus. The 2GB of RAM part is sure to bum some folks out, and the apparent lack of wireless charging is kind of strange given that the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 6 had that feature.
The Nexus 5X is expected to make its official debut tomorrow alongside the Nexus 6P. While most of the details of these phones have leaked, it’s still worth tuning in for Google’s announcement because we’ll get official pricing for all models and probably some pre-order info, too.
