LG is hosting an event in New York on October 1 at which we’ll probably see some new mobile hardware. Now we can pencil LG in for a hardware reveal on September 21, too, because the Life’s Good crew has posted a teaser for “Something New” on its Facebook page.
The image shows a silver device with a rear button setup like several other recent LG phones, placed inside a block that also houses the rear camera and juts out from the phone’s body. LG doesn’t share any details about this device, but Nowhereelse.fr claims that it’s a new phone called the “LG Class” that’s got a 5.7-inch 1920x1080 display, Snapdragon 615 processor, 12-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, 8GB of storage, and 2GB of RAM.
This Android 5.1.1’s spec list places it in the mid-range, but its large screen, 12-megapixel rear camera, and metal body, could make it a very compelling mid-range option if it’s priced right.
