That didn’t take long. One day after Apple released the first iOS 9.1 beta to its developers, the company has rolled the update out to public testers as well.
If you’re enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Program, you can now download iOS 9.1 Public Beta 1. The update is a biggie, coming in at a whopping 1.5GB on my iPhone 6 Plus.
Users enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Program can get this update by going into Settings > General > Software Update. If you’re not in the Apple Beta Software Program, you can learn more about it here.
Getting back to iOS 9.1, yesterday’s developer beta revealed that there’s new emoji included in the update, including burrito and middle finger emoji. There’s little information on what other user-facing features are included in the iOS 9.1 update, but now more folks can try it out and see if they can notice any other tweaks that Apple might’ve made.
