With less than one week to go before Apple’s big September 9 event, details about what will be shown continue to trickle out.
The latest report comes to us from The New York Times and goes into detail on the new Apple TV, which will reportedly include a major focus on gaming and a redesigned remote control with a touchpad that can be used as a controller. The device is expected to include support for apps and games from all developers, similar to the App Store that’s on the iPhone and iPad now.
Additionally, NYT says that Apple may introduce new metal finishes for the Apple Watch, including a gold model that’s less expensive than the Apple Watch Edition, which starts at $10,000. That’d be a nice option for folks that have a gold iPhone and want an Apple Watch to match. Also reportedly coming is a new iPad keyboard to go alongside the new iPad Pro and iPad mini 4 that are expected to debut.
We’re already expecting new iPhone hardware, a new Apple TV, new iPad models, and some new Apple Watch Sport bands at Apple’s September 9 event. With the addition of new metal Apple Watch finishes and an iPad keyboard, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest Apple events in recent memory.
