Archos Diamond S runs Android 5.1 on 5-inch Super AMOLED display

Archos today took the wraps off of three new smartphones, two running Android and one powered by Windows 10 Mobile.

First up is the Archos Diamond S. The Diamond S is meant to be an attractive, affordable device, offering a clean design and a price of £159.99 ($251 USD). The Diamond S is slated to launch in November 2015.

Powering Archos’s new Diamond S is a octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 2300mAh battery. Archos has also thrown in a 5-inch 1280x720 Super AMOLED display covered with Gorilla Glass 3, 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel cameras, 16GB of storage, a microSD slot, 4G LTE and dual SIM slots. Finally, the Diamond S is running what looks to be a clean version of Android 5.1.

Next up are Archos’s 50e Helium and 50 Celsium. These phones run Android 5.1 and Windows 10 Mobile, respectively, and they actually share the same spec list. They’ve got 5-inch 1280x720 displays, quad-core Snapdragon 210 processors, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, microSD slots, 8-megapixel rear cameras, and 2-megapixel front cameras. Both devices also have 4G LTE, dual SIM slots, and 2100mAh batteries.

Archos will launch the 50e Helium and Celsium in November 2015 for £99 ($155 USD).
