Last year, Jolla completed a crowdfunding campaign for its Sailfish-powered Jolla Tablet, ending its effort with $1.8 million from backers. If you’ve since had your interest piqued by the Jolla Tablet, you can now pre-order a unit of your very own.
Jolla is now taking pre-orders for the Jolla Tablet in its online shop. There are two versions available with 32GB and 64GB of built-in storage, with pricing set at €267.00 ($312 USD) and €299.00 ($335 USD), respectively. It’s worth noting that both Jolla Tablet models include a microSD slot with support for cards up to 128GB.

To get an idea of how Sailfish OS works, check out our hands-on video with the Jolla Tablet at the top of this post. The OS is very gesture-heavy, letting you do things like bring up the app list and navigate throughout the UI with swipes. Sailfish OS also lets you run Android apps after downloading them from the Jolla Store or “different Android app marketplaces.”
The Jolla Tablet looks like a nice piece of hardware, offering a clean design and a small size that makes it super portable. And while Sailfish OS doesn’t exactly have a huge chunk of the mobile market, its ability to run Android apps means that it’s got a pretty wide selection of apps available to it. The one thing about the Jolla Tablet that could be a bit iffy for some folks is its pricing, which puts it up against premium iOS and Android models. If you’re looking for a solid and portable tablet that’s not made by Apple or an Android OEM, though, the Jolla Tablet could be worth a look.
The Jolla Tablet will begin shipping at the end of October. Pre-orders are open to the EU, Norway, Switzerland, United States, Canada, Australia, India, and Hong Kong.
