T-Mobile today introduced its latest affordable Android offering, the ZTE Obsidian.
The Obsidian will officially launch in T-Mobile stores and online on August 13, with pricing set at $0 down and 24 payments of $4.17 per month, or $99.99 full price. Here’s what you’ll be getting for your money:
While it’s obviously not the most highly-specced Android phone around, the ZTE Obsidian does at least come with Android 5.1, which is nice when affordable devices can occasionally come with versions of Android that are one or two revisions behind the latest update. The Obsidian’s also not a bad-looking phone, and with its 4.5-inch display, it could be attractive to folks that want a small Android phone that’s good for one-handed use. (Remember when phones with 4-inch screens were huge? Now those devices would probably be considered tiny by most people.)
