Like the past two Moto X models before it, the Moto X Pure Edition will be customizable using Motorola’s Moto Maker tool. And while the Moto X Pure Edition may not be launching for another month, the phone’s customization options have been outed today so that you can start planning how you’ll personalize yours.
An image shared today shows the various rear covers, frames, and accent colors that you’ll be able to apply to your Moto X Pure Edition in Moto Maker. There will be 18 rear covers, including Natural, Cognac, Black, and Red leather options and Bamboo, Walnut, Ebony, and Charcoal Ash woods. There will also be 10 different silicon rubber covers.
Once you’ve got your phone’s backside selected, you can choose its anodized metal accents (speaker grilles and rear camera bezel), which will be available in 7 colors: Silver, Dark Gray, Champagne, Red, Pink, Lemon Lime, and Royal Blue. You’ll also get your choice of either a Silver, Dark Gray, or Champaign aluminum frame and either a Black or White front.
The Moto X Pure Edition looks like it’ll be the most customizable Moto device yet, which is exciting news if you’re looking forward to the next Moto X flagship. It’s worth noting that you’ll likely have to pay a premium if you want a leather or wood back — Motorola is asking $25 for one on the Moto X (2nd Gen.) — but that’s a small price to pay to have a premium material like leather or wood on your phone.
