iOS 8.4.1 beta 2 update pushed out by Apple

A couple of weeks after Apple surprised us all and pushed out a beta version of the iOS 8.4.1, a new version of that software has been released.

iOS 8.4.1 beta 2 is now available to registered developers, giving them a new version of iOS 8.4.1 to test before the update is pushed out to the public. The update is build 12H318 and is available both over the air and as a download from Apple’s Developer Center.

Unlike iOS 9, which we know includes a whole host of new features, it’s unclear exactly what iOS 8.4.1 brings with it. Considering that it’s an x.x.1 update, though, it’s likely that this is just a bug fixing update. Apple is placing a lot of focus on iOS 9 and getting it ready for public consumption before its fall release, and so it’s unlikely that the company would put too much effort into shiny new features for an x.x.1 update for iOS 8.
