Just a week after Apple’s new “If it’s not an iPhone, it’s not an iPhone” ad campaign, a third TV ad was released for the public.
The new 30-second TV ad boasts of the App Store’s catalog of “over one and a half million of the best apps.” According to the ad, the collection is “hand-picked, awe-inspiring, just plain surprising” and “who knew a phone could do that.”
While the ad doesn’t directly compare the App Store to that of Android’s Google Play market, they use the angle of having something amazing with each iPhone. And even if Google Play has a number of apps available, there’s no denying that several top developers make an iOS app first before bringing the app over to Android.
This latest ad takes an indirect swipe at their biggest rival, Android, through their massive collection of “Amazing Apps.” The previous ads they released focused on the iPhone’s satisfaction rates on hardware and software, individually.
