Since it started in 2006, Apple’s “Back to School” promotion has always been something both students and teachers looked forward to every year. The reason behind this was because through the promotion, interested individuals get a substantial discount on selected Apple products to help them with the school year ahead. Considering that announcement of the promotion has always been publicized on July 6 for the last two years, Apple’s silence on this subject makes people wonder if there’ll be a sale for 2015.
To answer the question on everyone’s minds, an internal video has been made public by a French blog called Consomac.fr. The video showcases Senior Vice President of Retail Angela Ahrendts announcing that more information on the “Back to School” promotion will be released to Apple retail employees this week.
While the video does not explicitly confirm the promotion will happen this year, Ahrednts’ enthusiastic tone looks promising. If the promotion pushes through, it may start longer than past years. Along with the announcement of the new promotion period, there may be a few changes that will be made to it.
So until the next announcement regarding the promotion is made, it may be best to wait before purchasing an Apple product, especially if you are a student or a teacher.
