Oppo today took the wraps off of its newest Android phone, the Mirror 5s.

One of the highlights of the Oppo Mirror 5s is its backside, which is a mirrored, diamond-shaped pattern that reflects light at different angles. Oppo promises that the Mirror 5s’s crystallized rear is tough, though, with an internal metal frame and other parts that are strong and resist bending.

Oppo also placed a focus on the cameras of the Mirror 5s. The rear shooter is of the 8-megapixel variety, offering an f/2.2 aperture and a BSI back-illuminated design. Oppo touts the rear camera’s ability to take clear photos in low light and at night. Meanwhile, the camera software offers 11 modes, filters, GIF support, HDR, and more. On the front of the Mirror 5s lives a 5-megapixel camera.

Also included on the Mirror 5s’s spec list is a 5-inch 1280x720 display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD slot, and a 2420mAh battery.

On the software side, we’ve got Android 5.1 beneath Oppo’s ColorOS 2.1, which offers unique features like gestures for taking a regular screenshot or an extended screenshot as well as shrinking the display into a corner for easier one-handed operation.

While it’s somewhat mid-range, the Oppo Mirror 5s looks nice thanks to its metal frame and crystal-like rear pattern, which is reminiscent of the HTC Touch Diamond. Unfortunately, there’s not much known about the Mirror 5s’s availability save that it’s expected to launch later this month.
