LG hasn’t been shy about cranking out variants of its G4 flagship, like the G4 Stylus and G4c. Now a new leak has shown that the Life’s Good crew has another G4 variant in the works.
Russian site Hi-Tech.Mail.Ru has shared images and specs of a device called the LG G4 S. The device looks like a smaller G4, complete with the same slightly curved body and rear button setup.
The G4 S’s spec list is said to include a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 display and 8-megapixel rear camera, down from the G4’s 5.5-inch 2560x1440 display and 16-megapixel shooter. Also expected to be included with the G4 S is an octa-core processor, dual LED flash, and Laser Auto Focus.
The LG G4 S is expected to launch in Korea in the latter half of July. Pricing is still up in the air, but since its specs are slightly lower-end than the G4, it’s likely that the G4 S will be cheaper than its flagship sibling.
With its G4 family of products, LG appears to be trying to offer a phone for every need. It’s got the G4c for the affordable crowd, the G4 Stylus for folks that want a phone with a stylus and huge screen, the G4 for anyone that wants a high-end phone, and soon the G4 S that can fill in the mid-range slot.
