HTC One M9 owners on Sprint, your Android 5.1 update is nigh.
HTC’s Mo Versi says that the Sprint One M9’s Android 5.1 has received technical approval and that it’s slated to begin rolling out over the air on July 1, which is two days away. Versi goes on to say that the update includes “camera improvements,” but he doesn’t go into any further detail about those enhancements.
HTC has been pretty transparent about its Android updates lately, and it’s nice to see that that’s continuing with today’s announcement. It’s also exciting to see Android 5.1 starting its rollout to carrier-branded HTC One M9 units in the US. Here’s to hoping that updates for other carriers aren’t far behind.
